Scrabble, puzzles and chess,
I have something to get off my chest,
Cooking, baking, cocktail making,
I wouldn’t give quarantine a very high rating.
Walking, running, skipping,
I have felt my morale dipping.
Texting friends, colleagues or exes,
I’ve discovered lots of niche flexes.
Writing, watching and reading,
With the inkling of a strong feeling
That soon enough we’ll be able to roam
And stop home school and working from home.
As letter writing becomes the new trend,
Remember this will soon end.
FaceTime and Zoom; new ways to keep in touch,
Soon enough we’ll be able to embrace and touch.
More time to spend sleeping; a nap or a doze
We’re all saving lives by staying at home.

I did not appreciate that your University course included a module in poetry! Well done. Pa
